Fixed Circular Needles

Circular needles are handy tools for all kinds of knitting projects. You can always substitute straight needles or double pointed needles with a flexible, high quality circular needle.

When you knit with straight needles, especially heavier projects may cause pain on your wrists since you have to support the weight of the work mostly on one hand. When you use circulars, the weight of a large garment is divided evenly on both hands and the work lays ergonomically on your lap.

Double pointed needles are handy for small projects such as socks, but you can use a circular needle for these projects as well. You can knit a small project in the round using a long circular - a technique called Magic Loop. When using a circular needle, the work doesn't slip off needles. Few or no ladders form between the stitches when you use the Magic Loop technique.
