Summer knits from Morning Salutation Vegan yarn

Julkaistu: 20.04.2022

Emmi knitted the Snöklokke top from Morning Salutation Vegan yarn. With long sleeves it is perfect for the transition season. When wool is too hot, but it’s too cold for summer knits, you can knit a long sleeved pullover from this so-called summer yarn. You can find the Snöklokke pattern in the 2104 Sommer Dame pattern booklet. For a long sleeved size M Emmi used 8 balls of Morning Salutation.

Kati knit the Kudzu cardigan by Marie Amelie Designs from the same yarn in the colorway 18, Indigo. The yoke has a lovely and delicate lace pattern. For size XS Kati used 6 balls. The pattern is in English, free on Ravelry.

I accidentally knitted from the same 11 Gold colorway the Seleste Tee by Sari Nordlund as Emmi used for the Snöklokke. I just thought that that colorway is the loveliest of them all. I knitted size 2 with almost no ease, that was intentional. I also knit shorter sleeves. It took 6 balls in total. Don’t be afraid of the bobbles, they are knitted on two rounds and actually easy to knit.

Morning Salutation is a mixture of cotton and Lyocell, that makes the yarn feel smooth and brings a subtle sheen to it. I really liked how it felt while knitting it and it quickly became one of my favorite summer yarns. It is a DK-weight vegan yarn, made entirely of plant fibers.

The color chart got eight awesome colors this spring. I really like the 21 Pale Peach and 23 Orange Sorbet. I think the Pale Peach would work well for Sari Nordlund’s Foxberry Tee.  If you are more into neutral colors, there are also new blue-grayish shades.

Happy knitting,

Enikö
