Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair offers a luxurious blend of the finest Kid Mohair and Mulberry silk. The mohair wool is sourced from angora goats bred in South Africa, and the yarn is locally produced. Knitting for Olive’s commitment to traceability ensures that they can precisely identify the farms, farmers, and goats from which the wool originates.

The Mohair is certified sustainable and adheres to the Responsible Mohair Standard (RMS). Knitting for Olive prioritises animal well-being and uphold social responsibility throughout the production process. Their spinning mill follows ethical, technical, and environmental standards, resulting in yarns that are free from harmful chemicals.

The silk used in Soft Silk Mohair is cruelty-free. The silk fibers are collected from cocoons after the chrysalises have matured into moths and escaped. This means that the silk worms are not harmed in the process, unlike conventional silk production methods.

Soft Silk Mohair is certified STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, ensuring that it meets the criteria for product safety and is free from harmful substances.
